#95: Christianity, Patriarchy, Feminism, and what Jesus stood for with Meghan Tschanz

Updated: May 13, 2022

TW: Rape, Sexual Assault, Abuse, Mutilation and Religious Trauma

In this episode, former missionary and Biblical scholar Meghan Tschanz asks: “Is Jesus for this patriarchal system, or have we got it wrong?”

We discuss patriarchal “Christianity”, abuse, intersectional Feminism and the example Jesus set. We also hit on some majorly upsetting points, so do be aware of those. This was a fun and insightful episode, though, and one I encourage everyone to listen- Christian, non-Christian, woman, man, non-binary, everyone. I think ANYONE can gain some serious insights from this episode. Hope you enjoy!

An incredible takeaway from this discussion: Even when people are called “Men of God”, that doesn’t mean they’re doing it right.
